Who Plays Disc Golf?

Pretty recent to serious playing, I have played at some summer camps when I was little, but I am starting to play more and more and getting really hooked now. My friend invited me one day and now I have 6 or 7 discs. I love going on the weekend and throwing discs.

 

I play at Oak Grove disc golf course, its in La Canada, Calif, its been around since 1975!! I used to play a lot. Hit me up for a game if anybody is in the Pasadena area! Here's my collection from over the years!

 

I started playing a lot again here recently. I just picked up some disc from latitude 64, and vibram.

 

I really thought there would be more players on here.

My younger brother got me into DG and now I am hooked. I even bring my gear when I travel for work, just to hit up the surrounding courses.

Charlotte, NC is a disc golf mecca. If anyone is traveling through, there are to many courses to list.

 

I wish I had more courses around me

 

I've been spoiled by Charlotte. Most courses I have been to on the road are very sub par compared to NC. Or I just end up where DG isn't big. Yet.

 

These discs make up a great bag!! I pretty much run the same and i have a few ROC's. The Roc is a tried and true mid range driver. I sometimes use a Challenger for putts.

 

I went yesterday and stunk up the place, I couldn't hit anything. It was just one of those days.

 

I know the feeling, I did that last Wednesday

 

Been wanting to get better at putting, so i've been looking at DIY frolf baskets on youtube. Found a lot of creative variations!!


It's those 20-30 foot putts i gotta get better at for birdies, and to save par!

 

Going to be setting up a putting area in my back yard and that would be pretty cool. I like the bbq basket and the mountain bike wheels one. I have and extra set so that will be my DIY route.

 

Did you end up making a backyard basket? pics?

 

Not yet. Still have an old chain link that needs tearing down but hopefully soon. It's getting a bit nippy here so I need to act fast.

Thread revival after 6 years, nice @503MIKE ! Love watching those top pros. Bet u got some nice courses in the PNW. I just scored an old innova practice basket and Been playing down here at oak grove. cheers!

Got an email that my PDGA member package finally shipped after joining in April. I've been playing since 2008 and only just now signed up for a PDGA #. Catch me at your local OC courses like HB, DLB, La Mirada and El Dorado.
