Had this happen jumped in the truck attempted to start the truck nothing doesn’t crank over . Turn key Nada . The truck is a 20 with a manual transmission . Parking brake was up …foot on clutch and brake pedal. I let off the clutch released the parking brake . Pulled parking brake up like it was parked and turned ignition off . To reset everything. The truck fired up . After that I did it a few more times It fired up after that no issues . Any thoughts ?

Next time it does it, use clutch start cancel to help with troubleshooting.
The bottom clutch switch might be out of adjustment or bent.

Since your starting a random truck, are you sure you have the correct key/key fob?

The truck being in neutral and/or park brake applied has nothing to do with the starting circuits. The clutch "depressed" switch on the pedal assy will rain on your parade however.

Have you been skipping leg day?

Does the 3rd gen use a magnet pickup for the clutch safety switch or something else?

It's a mechanical switch on the clutch pedal assy.
There are two actually, one for fully depressed, another for when you just start disengaging it (for cruise etc)

You guys think it might be a battery issue ? It’s a bout 2 years old . I am running a amplifier to power a subwoofer. I have read other posts about the battery doing weird stuff like this ? I’ll look into some of the suggestions here not the troll ones lol .

I had a daily driver that the battery died. It was considerably older than yours. But it acted somewhat the same. You might have simply got a defective battery, it happens.

My vote is a bad (or failing) battery. Not all battery's fail the same way; some develop intermittent shorts between cells. Heat can often make the problem worse. Not directly related but I've spent the past couple of weeks troubleshooting an intermittent no-start condition on a brand-new MC I bought five months ago. Very similar symptoms as yours.

I've heard Toyota will replace your battery under warranty, though it would likely need to fail a Load Test first, which it probably will. FWIW KTM does not warranty five-month old batteries in their bikes :(

    Good luck!
