Well the 2016 Taco I had was involved in an accident on May 29th and totaled. My Wife was driving, this was a two vehicle accident. My Wife was banged around and bruised up, but no broken bones or head trauma. There were 7 People in the other vehicle, 5 were children, all were okay.

So glad to hear everyone was okay. Modern vehicles are really good at protecting the occupants.

One thing to point out is none of the glass was broken except for the windshield, God definitely has His hand on all of them

Thank You, yes there wasn't any luck in this one, it was Gods Hand, to be hit at 65-70 and be spun 270 degrees and rolled it's an absolute miracle

Your video is set to private. What was your experience with the insurance company?

Imagine being an engineer and studying your whole life to develop an extremely safe vehicle then when it gets crashed they just thank god instead of you.

I'm so sorry guys, I had to set it to private due to people wanting to use the video for who knows what.
Well so far the Insurance hasn't been to bad, but we will see once it comes up for the next renewal in November. I've been with the same Insurance company for 36 years, this is the first totaled vehicle I've had

I spent over 20 years in EMS and have responded to countless MVAs like this one. Certainly not all of them turned out this well. What's always amazed me is the amount of damage these vehicles can sustain while keeping the passenger cage basically in tact. The pictures of your taco after it was righted again show exactly that. While personally I believe in science and engineering and not the divine, it really doesn't matter why. The important part is it turned out well for you and your family. Glad you're all relatively OK.

Glad to see everyone was ok. A testament to the safety of the Tacoma. Could have been very bad. Good luck in your new ride

Engineers just do their job. When their design works, that is validation enough. They usually do not seek any attention or accolades. You obviously don't understand engineers. I have been to many STEM awards and they don't even want to get an award, much less recognition.

It's a closed case at this point, the Tacoma driver violated the right of way, video or no video.

I think a lot of people have the grand idea of what a lawsuit look like for something like this, but in the end it amounts to shit and a lot of insured never hear a peep about what was paid out to the victim(s), provided they have decent coverage.

No not on the phone or distracted, the car that hit her turned on their signal light just before the left turn lane, she saw the signal light and went on thinking he was turning, but he didn't. You can't see it in the slow mo, but he did turn it on just before the left turn lane and turned it back off, it's clearly visible
