little so far, about to change that
rookie mistake: I wasn't to concerned with properly securing wires as I installed my new stereo, and after sealing everything back up, I am left with a small plate of spaghetti on my cab floor. Since everything is working just fine, I would prefer not to re-wire or take apart either the dash and kick panel. There is ample slack in the wires, so it appears my choices are to hide up near the steering wheel column, or just bury under the floor mat. Any advice or pictures on how to properly secure the wires is appreciated. Specifically the microphone and reverse camera / reverse camera sensor are the wires crossing the pedals.

Welcome to TW…I would rather hang and hide the wires up high under the dashboard. If you cram them under the floor mat they may eventually wear through the wire insulation and short out.

Suggest to disconnect and reroute the wires. Stuff them into a wire loom. Then you can tidy up and secure the "spaghetti"

Don't hide them under the floor mat. That is a high school solution that is only temporary. The wire insulation will abrade under the mat then bare wire will short and multiple systems can go down.......

Posting a pic of what your looking at my help guide our advice. Is it speaker wire that’s laying all in the floor or something? You can usually neatly wrap and ziptie excess to an OEM run of loom to keep things clean and safe.

Time of day prevents me from shooting underside of dash - sun's too high / too hot to shoot upwards. I thought of something - for my day job, I had a few spiral bound notepad / presentation bindings. Two of those spirals should act as a loom for the wires, and then I could ziptie the rings to something up inside. or just go to the local auto zone for some real loom.wires1.jpg
Thanks for the recommendations to avoid the under the floor mat approach. makes sense.

cloud cover rolled in to provide relief. just enough to ziptie to the underside of the dash before the cloud cover turned to rain and I ran for cover. job 80% complete.
Thanks again for your input and advise.
