So, I don't know how TF I never noticed this before, but the OAL of my 16" AR with A5 buffer is the same as my SBR'd AK. What the actual fuck.

The SBR is actually a tad longer. That $200 stamp was so worth it.

Streamlight protac also. Ditched the original mount that comes with it and used an arisaka off set mount.

I got the throw lever mounted on my LPVO, got to take it out and actually look through it outside and not just through the shop door, and now I need to figure out what upper I want to put it on or if I want to build a different upper.

Im thinking 14.5 or 13.7, middy gas, offset red dot for secondary sight.

    little range time today.
got my Noveske/DD 12.5 assembled and took it for a test fire. took four 30 rd loaded mags and one 20 round.
didn't have to shoot anymore than the first 20. 30 yds/iron sights/B34 silhouette target. out of 16 shots about a 4" group dead center, three center X ring. last four head shots, two in the center, other two about 1/4 inch above the head. works for me.
built myself a 12 gauge "weapon" about a year ago from a virgin stripped Remington 870 Police Magnum receiver. decided today was the day to test fire it too for the first time.
14" Poilce rifle sight barrel, Police metal trigger group, chrome Wingmaster bolt, S&G +1.
fired five rounds of 2 3/4 00 through it. a bit paranoid since four months from shoulder replacement surgery. one word, intense.
last but not least my Sig P250 subcompact DAO 45acp. yea, its antiquated compared to all the 9mm micro wonder nines out there but for some reason i just shoot and hit with it so well. nothing like a 230g pill to take care of what ails you.

It is a Nikon Black Force 100, 1-6x24, the center dot is illuminated red, the only downside I currently see with this optic is the illumination gets washed out easily in direct sunlight.

Thanks I am just starting to shop for an LPVO so I welcome input. Im trying to find one with green illumination which the one I initially looked t has. The Swampfox Arrowhead you can choose red or green. Lots to look at what fun!

There are lots to choose from, the YouTube channel SupersetCa (I think that’s the name) has a few videos comparing different LPVO’s.
The Nikon scopes are discontinued so you’ll have a difficult time finding them, our shop has some different Nikons from when we were a stocking dealer and I’ve slowly been buying our back stock out because they want them gone and I can get them for low prices.
Yesterday I put a 4-16 Nikon first focal plane scope on layaway for my dad, $650 scope that he’s paying $350 for, unfortunately it was the last one we had so I can’t get one also.

Funny thing is people now pay extra for aftermarket "lightweight BCGs" that are similar. lol

I love my shorty builds but 14.5 is mostly my grab gun and what i would ideally put a lpvo on. Additionally 14.5 barrels and uppers/hand guards are easy to source parts for atm

Cant go wrong with a new upper, just match it with a good barrel

Here is my recent 14.5 build with lpvo/offset dot - took a while to dial in due to the adjustable block but she runs reliably
