My first self built bumper

So, 6 months ago I'd attempted welding (and failed miserably) twice in my life. I wanted to learn how though, so I bought a Lincoln "tombstone" stick welder, a bunch of electrodes and some plate steel and started practicing. 2 months later I built this bumper. Over all, I'm very happy with how it turned out, but my next one will DEFINITELY be lighter. This beast weighs in at about 145 lbs.

 

Awesome and defintely a beast! These are worth looking into with all that weight, not sure if they would bolt up, but you can check the pics in the thread and your set up.
