Lunar Rock Gen III Thread

Added a mod today. Well kinda. Santa Cruz Chameleon. Color is called fog, i swear did not try and match to Lunar Rock. Thought it was going to be more white/gray.

I did a quick scan but I didn't see anything.... Is anyone running a cap? I was originally thinking of getting a Softopper but I'm sort of moving away from that idea and getting a different cap.

I feel like a Lunar Rock cap would be fsr to much cemint going on. Black maybe? A black cap sometimes just looks mis-matched though. The RSI cap at least looks like it's supposed to be black and could be a good fit but I'm not sure if I want to spend that kind of cash.

 

I dunno. The LR 4Runner looks great - and it's the same amount of green.

 

Fair. But I guess I'd want to see it first. The 4Runner looks good but I think Lunar Rock on the Tundra looks terrible. Ha. I don't know. Too much of a good thing perhaps?

 

You'll be happy to know it does, I just placed an order for a TRD OR 2022 from Dunning Toyota, MI, Magnetic Grey and got a call back 15 minutes later to tell me it, and the Sport, are available in LR for 2022 if I want it. I haven't seen the LR in person so I said I'll think about it over the weekend. Looking at some of the pics in this thread, I think I just might have to switch the order from Grey to LR.

 

Well, after 179 long days of waiting, she’s finally here! My very own LR/MT!

Now to spend The weekend installing all the mods I’ve been hoarding in the garage for the past 6 months

Just grabbed this in Tucson AZ and drove it back to Reno NV. Already ordered a suspension upgrade, tires, and a shell. Love this color.

What sort of suspension upgrade?

 

Going to do diff Leaf pack, diff shocks on all four corners and billet UCA's. Still deciding on Wheels.

I just found out the Shell I ordered won't be here until September. Supply for everything is delayed.

 

So you went with the Pro mostly for the color then??? Just curious because if I knew I was swapping the suspension out I would have picked a lower model to save some cash.

also, bummer about the shell. It seems that most things are delayed these days...

Yeah...I ordered an ARE shell. It's whats on my 2013. It's been great. The folks at ARE told me that it's all about the Resin they use. There are three resin suppliers they get it from. Two of the three suppliers had issues due to 1)Covid and 2) the deep freeze that hit Texas this past winter. It put them WAY behind on orders. So they are just now catching up.

 

Damn i wish Toyota would update its website already to build the 2022 model years.

 

Yes! Get to it, Toyota. Anyone have a clue when this happens? I'm sure the parts catalog probably has been sent to dealers?

 

It should be in July, until then even dealers are in the dark.
