I do that now too lol. Even if it's cool, I'll just point the vents away from me.

I can relate. Former FL resident here.

I remember going to family birthday parties at some park with hotdogs and chips. After a very short while, the chips would become potato chewys.

This year hasn't been too bad with humidity.. But hot and dry around here could turn into serious forest fires.

Mine works after a while but for the first 3 miles of driving it's pretty much ambient temp coming out of the vents which is balls because once it becomes bone chilling you're all sweaty

Save some of that rain for when I come out there in a few weeks

We actually might get some thunderstorm rain here this week, sometimes happens when its hot as balls for days on end.

Get to see if the RTV on those rivnuts on my roof will seal appropriately....fun

I'm sure it'll still be nauseatingly green when you arrive, no idea whether it'll be raining or not.

Any rain yall get seems like it might be welcome. I might be headed out there for work at some point, maybe I'll bring some along.

only really get thunderstorm rain in the desert, never really in LA. But our town is in the foothills of the mountain range that separates the desert from LA county so we sometimes catch the edge of the storms.

Nothing like midwest/southern t-storms unless you're actually in the desert, then you might get biblically flooded

Bring your truck, we'll air up your tires and hit a trail

Yeah those flash floods are no joke. Deserts don't take kindly to soaking up tons of rain in a hurry.

It'd probably be a pretty quick trip, don't think i can get my truck in the carry on.

    Some new deeps showed up.
Trying the Tektons. Good luck with their torques, so figured why not.

I've done a mod or two
Land Cruiser is at 28years and 227k and the old R12 system is still great. I have cans of R12 for if it ever decides not to be great, but I think because R12 is a larger molecule and more efficient (runs at lower pressure) it's not stressed much. Helps that I put an AUX fan on the AC condenser too

We have more expensive vehicles, but to see a Wrangler at nearly $80k with minimal options...
