I took the dog for our 2 mile walk about 6:30 this morning, with the hope that I could avoid sweating profusely. I did a good job on that front but the deer flies were trying to bite from the start. This time of year there is little relief from them.

 

I did a good deed and watered the flowers for my wife this morning so she won't have to tonight after work. I think tomorrow and much of the rest of the work week Mother Nature is going to do the watering. May have to let the grass grow a little more than normal.

 

And I just remembered that I have to take the grandson to the dentist for a teeth cleaning. My mind is slipping at 58. Fortunately we have a few hours so I can drag his video playing butt out of bed and still get him there.

Finally got our internet service back again a few minutes ago - went out again sometime overnight late Friday or early Saturday and have been without since.

Hence the reason I havent left my house. I got work at 3pm to 12. But I'll be in a car with ac then so all good.

 

Had the motor for an air curtain go bad, so I spend most of the day in the freezer. Then I came outside and was blasted by this damn heat. Don't know whether I want -30 or 100F

 

I think I'd take the cold over this heat. The ac in the work van isn't working all that great.

 

Good problem to have.

 

I hate to bring it up, but anyone on here know how much a regular no swing out pelfry built bumper cost? Swore I kept everything but email won’t let me go back past 2017.

I’d even take someone to contact that can get it for me… adjusters asking so he can write it up should it need to be replaced.

Aren’t they out of business or you just need a price for a replacement through your insurance?

I checked with the NWS website. The dew point there is 64 degrees. I am sure 115 is still miserable. the worst I ever encountered was about 11 years ago when we attended my friend's wedding in Colorado in August. On the day of the wedding - which was outdoors, it was about 100, but the air was dry. If anything, it was like the stinging or burning in your nose you get if you have ever been in a sauna. Being a mile high was more of an issue. I only only had one or two drinks, but I was light headed even before I started drinking.

 

hottest for me were our summer getaways to Parker, AZ and the Colorado River. 122F, but a dry heat. Hurt to breathe, no A/C in the pickup..good times.

 

Was going to go to bro joes place BUT I’m gonna pain the ceiling of the dining room, if some of you remember the chandelier project. Yup I’m gonna finish it I tell her “I didn’t do it” that way I won’t have to repaint the living room which is 3 x as big!! Stay cool brothers
