Cajon Pass is a fun one. I hate when you get up to cruising speed and suddenly someone slow cuts in your lane. I usually have the throttle pegged in 4th gear all the way up

My parents had a barn cat and he earned his keep. He made sure we knew it buy leaving us dead body parts on the door steps. My wife's black cat is 100% freeloader.

A lot of the cats around this place are barn cats that proved unfit for the job and now they're just pets. But they do have some real barn cats that are good mousers. I'll try and get pics of them, they're a bit more feral and hard to get near.

That's how it was. And I have the bed loaded with firewood so stoping fast is not an option. I'm glad to be out of the desert spread. The eastern Sierras are way more seanic.

yeah feral cats especially adult ones are completely different animals. My wife's cat was a feral kitten and those tendencies still come out when he's around people he doesn't know. You'd think he was cornered and about to die

Meanwhile my cat will waltz into a room full of strangers and demand all the pets. He'll single out the one cat allergy person and stake claim

Wonder if Mt. Whitney portal is still on fire, should be coming up on it soon if you haven't already. That was where we were going to camp last weekend but the fire cancelled our permits.

I wasn't looking forward to that 3 hour drive through Mojave anyway lol. It sucks.

Especially if its windy, on our way back from the eastern Sierra a couple years ago from camping, I remember a random huge gust of wind pushed my truck nearly a full lane over. Was lucky no one was there.

Funny we just went past it. No sign of fire. Nor was there driving down on Friday.

I think by Friday they had it mostly under control. It started the weekend before and burned all around the portal but not much of the actual portal. They cancelled permits for our weekend on Tuesday.

Was a lightning strike that started it apparently

^^ Long live my JB welded bump stop ^^

actually I'm picking up a set of used LCAs this weekend, I'll finally be able to attach it properly again. And hopefully fix my alignment issue.

Anyone seen the movie The hills have eyes or Hose of wax? Every time I drive through Redbluff it reminds me of it.

Yep, picking up the whole shebang. Gonna have a couple spare OEM cvs now too, they need boots though. Might just use them as cores to get some fresh reman CVJs, we'll see.

Also getting an intake manifold, my supercharger is going to need to get sent off for rebuild sometime soonish I suspect. Getting louder at idle and it's got nearly 100k on it I believe.

Gonna need to pick up all the vacuum lines somewhere though.
