Motorcycles BS Thread 2.0

My FJR turned 25k miles yesterday. Changed oil and filter when I got home. Ready for more. Sadly our weather the next several days is just going to be brutally hot and humid. Forecasts calling for 92-96 degrees and it'll fell like it's over 100. Not exactly pleasant riding weather.

 

I feel that with the heat.. it’s like a hair dryer to the face. It’s going to be a while before I do anything on the bike other than commuting in to work.

 

Not very often we can outdo Pullman on the West side, either hot or cold but today is going to be rough. I wanted to drive my truck in for the AC but the wife's car doesn't have any and she has claimed the truck until this heat wave is over. Going to be a rough ride home about 2pm.

 

Seriously. My parents visited this weekend from about an hour north of seattle and it was warmer there than it was here. Our heat wave is peaking a couple days after the west side's it seems.

 

ugh, just renewed the bike registration for 3 years. I guess Im keeping it for a while. $70 not too bad.. ($23/year)

 

I give it a month.

 

its been on my mind recently. But not knowing what bike next/getting married soon has been discouraging me from changing things up.. for now

Kinda want a Sportster again, because now they are "vintage". Harley stopped production in 2020. Would like another 48 too, but that tank is so damn small. @LocoLocal bike is looking pretty good with the new bars

 

I havent rode neither of my bikes this year so far. Probably gonna sell the wr450 have no interest in riding it no more. I do want another street motorcycle. Still leaning towards a sport tourer. The cbr1000 is pretty much retired at this point. Was fun in my 20s but that riding position is just terrible now.

The wr450 only has 16 hrs. I guess it was just a impulse buy.

 

i have interest in riding.. but maybe not in the humidity? Im getting weak in my old age

The registration on my bike was $155. for 1 year. Such is life in the great state of California

 

too hot during the day, but much better after 8pm
street legal dirtbikes are stupid fun

so far so good, currently 450 miles or 17.5 hours on the factory clock...
i would say i love it honestly
going back and forth with a street bike is really nice also, you never really get bored or numb to either ride

 

Guess I have to make another trip up there to buy another bike.

 

I still owe money on it. But I could sell it to you for x amount and you take over the payments. PM me and I can get the details on what I owe on it tomorrow. Working rn. I really have no interest in riding it anymore. Plus all the places I used to ride are all houses now. They building to much up here.
