2021 Cement Grey Tacoma TRD Off Road
I just purchased my first Tacoma - 2021 Double Cab TRD Off Road in cement grey with a 5' bed. I've owned a number of Toyotas and Hondas and wanted a Taco and finally traded in my Ridgeline. Gotta say, I'm absolutely enjoying my new Taco. It's taken me places that I wouldn't have attempted with the Ridgeline. I'm being somewhat conservative with my upgrades. I found a set of 16" TRD Rims in Black and adde the tailgate lock so that I can my remote to lock and unlock the tailgate. Added an inexpensive tonneau cover as I like to carry my camp gear in the back. Playing around with the decals for now to change the look. I'm going to wait and see how I utilize my truck before making any major upgrades. I'm thinking that I'll use it Overlanding and camping a lot but actually have to see if I can make that work. I'm sure I'm going to put a lift and either a diamondback HD tonneau cover with a rack and roof top tent or an ARE topper with the EZ Lift systems that raises the topper and the gap is filled with tent like materials. It actually extends over the tailgate so my 5' bed becomes a 7' sleeping area.

I've also considered the toppers with expanding roof like the GFC, South Pacific X1, Overland AT Atlas and countless others. I still haven't determined which option will work better for me and I'll use this summer and winter to determine how much camping I actually will do. Anyway, spend a couple of hours today reading through the forums and found this group to be very informative and hope to exchange knowledge with fellow Tacoma lovers. Thanks.
