Interior Panel Swap

You might think of this as a reason to reupholster those panels and find a fabric that you like. I saw a thread where the Op was doing them in leather and they looked really good. If you have to replace something, it's always nice to tune it up a little.

 

I totally would if I was closer haha, don't plan on being down their anytime soon though. But hey like @ClassyTacos said I think this should be a sticky as it appears to spark interest in a few and I'm sure there are others out there that want to trade!

Might be interested. Located in Tacoma, WA. How are the condition of the red dash and door panels? Mine is pretty much new since I just bought the truck today.

 

Congrats on the new truck! I’ve got 50,000 miles on mine so definitely not new but the panels themselves are in great condition, a few minor scuffs here and there but I detail the truck weekly so they have been taken care of.

I currently have them in black, my truck has less than 6,000 miles.

Not trying to hi jack, any one know how well you can swap in a generation? I have a 06 but looking to pull some from 12-15. I doubt any 3rd gen would fit??

 

I wish the border was open because I would totally drive down from Alberta to trade you!

 

The industry does a ton of market research on that. The anecdote I remember is car company X did all their color option research in California then couldn't sell anything in the midwest because the results all came back with yellow, candy apple red, orange, bright blue, etc. as the most desirable colors. Drive anywhere in the midwest and the most "outrageous" color you'll see is navy blue haha, I imagine PA is similar. Blame your neighbors, personally, for the lack of color options stocked on your local dealer's lot

 

I have SR5 with technology package... bigger Entune screen with real navigation, parking sensors. I figured it was an SET thing.... I have gray panels.
