Also for any electricity nerds we currently have the highest ever electrical draw on the power system here in Alberta right now(approaching 12 GW hours). Setting a record today and forecasted to be higher tomorrow. if we get to high I think well get close to using all reserve generation then they may have to start some brown outs.

Headed out to look at 5.5 acres with a well and a small house that is most likely a tear down . Asking $99k .Realtor know nothing about septic system . If we can get it for about 60k it will be a good piece of property for my son to build on .

With all the State mandated "Public Safety Power Shutdown" BS in California, I know the local utility companies are going to start the planned blackouts any time now.... we have a 7.5 kW portable genny that runs the house just fine, but the 30A circuit for the heat pump/AC system is not wired through the transfer switch, so when they pull the plug and we have to run on the generator, all we have are ceiling / stand fans. High heat and/or windy conditions are the main triggers for the mandatory blackouts. And the PSPS regulations also call for the utility companies to visually inspect every single transmission line for damage / safe operating conditions before they can re-energize the circuit, so you're guaranteed to be out for at least 24 - 36 hours each time.
