I received the kit and installed it. Only problem is my lights stay on constantly even when disconnected from the switch. Looking for a solution @DSIM

Let me start by saying I extremely value all of your input. And I take offense to none of this. I honestly am not trying to directly compete with them (although I get it, similar product). At the end of day I am a one man operation and have zero plans of this being a day job. I make/sell things to share with the TW community and literally as a work around to spend money on my truck (Wife can't say anything when the monies doesn't come from my real job :anonymous:).

Your thoughts on cost are fair statements for sure. I spent a decent amount of time considering the price point I would release at. If you break it down actually my base harness cost is a slightly more. However with 8 leads vs 4 I think that cost difference material wise is quite similar. Also I am sure they are getting a dealer cost on the kc cyclones so the profits are likely still larger than mine. Plus they have many other products so I think that difference in cost is realistic for me.

I guess really the cost savings are if you opt for the cheaper yoneda (or similar lights). I don't have any metrics between the differences in lights, nor do I really plan to. It is purely my personal opinion that the Yoneda Lights x8 are sufficient for what I was personally looking for in terms of output, purely from the naked eye perspective. The main differentiator that I wanted to give was that freedom to pick whichever light you want. Honestly the yonedas are cheap enough to try and then scrap later for the higher performance lights if you want.

I did some rough excelling in the below screenshot for reference.

Also I 100% agree with you on the sealed connectors and I considered that for awhile. I opted for the more generic spade connectors for ease of use on the customers end (installation and availability wise for the rock lights side). Eventually I "might" change those if/when I offer a kit with the lights included.

Those who have this harness could you compare yours to see if it looks like this? I'm having issues with my lights staying on all the time regardless of it being plugged into the switch or not20210520_191552.jpg

Most will have that piece of shrink on the relay connector and wont be able to see the connections without stripping it away.

One thing I am thinking is the relay could be bad. (Stuck in NO). But let me do some digging with you separately. I'll continue to help you on our email chain.

I got the kit installed on my truck and it turn out great. Any way we can get the light to fade in with the dome light as I am walking up to the truck @DSIM?

The cargo light circuit, unlike the dome, doesn’t fade in/out.

However, you could add something like this after the relay. It isn’t sealed though so it’d be best done inside the cab rather than in the engine bay which means more wires through the firewall. And it’s limited to 2 amps compared to a standard relay which can pull 30.

This should work on a Tundra right? They have the same cargo switch

Cannot confirm, they may have the same switch but the wires and connector could be different. Also not sure if the wire lengths will work.

I am working on 4Runner version first off of the A-Pillar Connector, supplier is killing me on that project. But will do some research on Tundra at some point. If you have a tundra PM me, could use a guinea pig

This is probably a stupid question, but here goes. Couldn’t the relay be left out when using this setup with a SwitchPro? I thought the SwitchPro did the job of the relay. I’m sure I’m wrong but would like to understand better.

Yes, if you wire up the dome or cargo as a trigger to the Switch-Pros.

Some like having the aux trigger off high beams.

I wish Switch-Pros had 3-5 trigger inputs to be honest. Reverse, drl, high, low, dome/cargo brake are all potentially valid candidates along with parking light.

Being limited to just 1-2 is a little bit of a bummer since it’s so configurable
