Anyone have issues with the camper/topper tracks lifting up when installing the prinsu?

I installed the rhino HD tracks and also the prinsu and I just noticed (couple days later) that the tracks have lifted up and now has a gap between topper and tracks. I have tried tightening it but not budging

That’s due to the campers being rounded and the feet not accounting for it. Google “washers for prinsu Tacoma world” and you’ll see quite a few results. Other option is buy some different feet, Sherpa makes some that account for the slope of the shell roofs. I have some washers stacked on mine for a few years now and hasn’t hurt anything. Tracks were lifting just like yours

makes sense! I saw a few posts of people having some sort of gap there but since I installed both basically together and didn’t see a gap, I thought I was good. lol
Must’ve been went I tightened them all down.
    Washers make sense. thank you.

You got the prinsu over the cab and just Yakima bars on shell? Looks like you have a Yakima bar on the front? I'm looking to do the same exact set up and just trying to plan it out

Our wind deflector caused some damage to the top of our car... I did a write up on it and ended up making some vinyl protection strips. Take a look at the thread I created about it. If you have a Prinsu or any other rack and dont have something protecting your paint, Get something! I cant believe that Prinsu is not sending protection with their kits like some others are doing.

Anyone have a good solution for mounting a spare tire? I've currently got mine on the top rack just held down with ratchet straps which obviously isn't super secure and doesn't lock. All the mounting options I've seen so far are for other racks

Hey Scott. I need this rack in my life for the first gen sequoia and it’s not listed on the website. Sequoias are starting to make their way into the overland scene and I’m sure that wasn’t the case back in 2014!!!

Got my top rack installed. The rack install was easy, but the track installation was a doozy. I used rhino rack tracks because there were no Thule/Yakima available. I took everyone's advice on triple checking my measurements, and during the drilling part, I did the most American thing I could do and mistaken millimeters for centimeters (the instructions were in metric), so I had to make some modifications, and order some extra bolts, and it's been a rollercoaster of emotions this past week because the extra nuts I tried to order were on backorder on Rhino Rack, so I had to find alternate T bolts which I could only find Thule also makes for triple the price, but it's done! Happy with the results.

Anyone know of some good lumber stops that work well with the rack?

Can anyone point me in the right direction to getting a new “set” of mounting hardware for a double cab roof rack? I got the rack in a trade, but the seller had lost some of the hardware (specifically the hardware and spacers that attach the rack to the roof tracks holes).

I reached out to Prinsu directly and they were entirely unhelpful. Very different customer service experience vs Sherpa when I needed more hardware for my 3rd Gen 4Runner rack…

Heres the hardware list for the mounting points. I ordered these to use on my home made rack I’m building.
M6 x 55mm (Pack of 20) Flat Head Hex Socket Cap Screws Bolts, 304 Stainless Steel 18-8, Countersunk Connector Screws for Furniture Baby Bed Chairs, Bright Finish, Full Thread https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08JCC3778/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_QA436VMR361ESPMVAN6Q?_encoding=UTF8

As far as the spacers go, I was going to cut some 3/4” aluminum tube spacers.

Thanks @Gregthespy, appreciate the link. I’m going to look around more for something to use for the spacers — I’d already quickly searched online and found some decent leads, but nothing in the exact right size that Prinsu listed there yet.

Still can’t believe they won’t just sell extra hardware…

Anyone here running a 270 awning mounted to a Prinsu rack? Seems Prinsu doesn’t support a bracket system or can’t figure it out.

If you find suitable pre-made spacers, please share the link, I’m sure a lot of the guys building their own setups would like a source.
It seems pretty frustrating that they wouldn’t support spare parts!

McMaster Carr is the go to place for unusual hardware. These spacers should be a near exact match. ID is slightly smaller but still oversized for a 6 mm bolt
