I can't emphasize enough, read & search reviews. While searching be sure to watch, & pay attention, to the reviews from folks who "HAVE" or "HAVE NOT" tried them. It seems strange but most that HAVE NOT tried them don't like them & are the folks talking about throwing codes or making engine not run right, these complaints are very very rare from those who HAVE tried them. Mine has worked great for 5 mo. with no problems, Can't know how long it will last until it fails.

I have had it around nine months to a year. I installed it following the installation instructions meticulously after reading of the 'check engine' problem. The one part of the instructions that I remember best was to have the keys quite a distance away, like fifty feet or so. My experience is that the truck ran just fine after installation, it responded faster but without problems or warning lights.
I have Sprint Booster and have no experience with any other.

I bought mine used so, was never going to get everything that I wanted. Have a small lift and 33s so its genuinely terrible uphill, I also live in B.C so plenty of mountains to climb. I just tell myself Im never in a rush to go anywhere because its so damn breathtaking here. 4hi is kind of useless unless you are doing flattish off road, use 4lo for anything moderately steep. All that being said, I like it. Would I have preferred a v6? Yes. But this thing is cool too, currently at 294k and its runs super quiet.

I've been driving a 2019 or 2020 Nissan Frontier DCSB with the V6 for about 5 weeks now. Not sure what the weight/HP/etc stacks up against the similar Tacoma, but the V6 is almost too much for me. Overkill just for me doing daily driving type stuff

When I was looking to buy a Tacoma last year, I wanted one with a long bed, 4-wheel drive, and a manual transmission that I could afford, without too many miles. I wasn't even thinking about engine size. Would I have gone with a manual V6 if I could have found and afforded it? Probably. But I'm very happy I didn't end up with a V6 automatic, or a little short bed, or 4x2.

The 2021 is all about “learn the driver” it take about 3500 miles for it to “learn” so you must be constant.

The Taco "learns" the driver??, what happens if someone else drives it? I'd always thought the driver learns the Taco, but in todays modern electronic world, Who Knows???
