    I’m going to get these just not sure on SL or E. It is my daily driver and on road 98% of the time, however I think the E load look better and I am occasionally off-road. I was wondering what the mpg drop is going from 265/70/16 stock OR tires to 265/75/16 E rated Open Country ATIII (or SL for comparison). Any input is appreciated!

    The heavier the tire the more your fuel mileage suffers. That's why I went with the stock sized AT 3's in XL as they were the same weight as the highway treads they replaced. My fuel mileage is about the same.

    Has anyone had experience with these in wet, icy & snowy conditions? I'm debating about going with either these AT3's in E loads or wildpeaks in SL.

    NICE!!! had my appointment scheduled at 10:30am today at Discount Tire to get the Toyo's installed, they called me this morning and said "your tires are not here yet, we will call you when they get here" i ask if they knew what time cause i adjusted my schedule today at work to go to the appointment and he said "whenever FedEx truck come they should be on it" well i have wasted my entire day so far .. no phone call, no tires and it's now 2:25pm
    LESSON LEARNED ... if they want to schedule appointment for install tell them you will wait till they have the tires on hand and then schedule a appointment. Pretty aggravating to adjust my work schedule and everything and this happens.

    What PSI does everyone run on their SL 265/75/16?

    My truck is maybe 300 to 350 lbs over stock weight with armor/me added. At this weight, 32 psi was starting to wear the inside of the tire a bit more than the outside. I ended up settling on 31 psi front and 30 psi rear for pavement. If you run a tire pressure calculator, to get the same load rating as the OEM Goodyears at 30 psi, you should run them at about 27.5 psi. At 27 psi, it looks like the outside was wearing a bit faster than the inside after a road trip to CO and UT, but that was fully weighed down with camping/recovery gear (1000 lbs over stock weight, essentially at the max GVWR).

    On maintained rocky/washboard forest/county roads, running them at 27 psi could be a bit harsh, but I am still running stock TRDOR suspension. 25 psi was better, but then you probably need to air up once you get on pavement to prevent overheating the sidewall at higher speeds. On rock gardens, 20 to 22 psi was the highest I would recommend going. Given the flexible sidewall of the SL, I wouldn't go much below 20 psi on rocks.

    I can say that the SL held up well to rocks in CO (San Isabel NF and San Juan Mountains) and UT (Monticello BLM). The sidewalls definitely got scuffed, but no cuts of any sort to report. No problems with traction on rocks (wet or dry) or in sand to speak of, with the exception of one ledge I had to kick in the diff lock to get up, and then it was easy peasy.

    Do a chalk test to determine your psi for uniform tread wear. Do it again if you change the weight. Everyone's is different based on their weight.

    Discount tire direct discount on my 265/65/17s to throw on my new gloss grey TRD rims. I have a set of these tires on my tow rig and love them. The 110 off was very much appreciated!!!

    Are these E or SL? Also are these made in Japan or USA? Curious if the sidewall difference between where it was manufactured is still a issue.

    @Discount Tire

    Still don't have my tires, i ordered online June 24th and had appointment for Tuesday the 29th to get them put on .. they called Tuesday saying "your tires have not showed up yet" i called yesterday and still no tires.
    I messed up, when i bought them on the 24th they had a online special 10% off purchase of 4 tires ... if i would of ordered the 25th i would of got 10% off + a $60.00 prepaid Mastercard
    I think since my tires are late they should give me the $60 Mastercard, after all i took a half day off work Tuesday because my appointment was scheduled to get my tires put on that morning. i know that won't happen but hopefully i get my tires soon.
