^this is likely right. Bull Shaols is smack dab in the middle of Whiteman and Little Rock AFB but Little Rock is mostly heavies. Since moving to Vegas I've realized I missed fighters taking off and flying around. Get to see F-22 and F-35 all the time.

That makes sense for an A-10 maneuver with a refuel. B2s, they just do whatever B2s do.

Growing up seeing B2s in the sky and actually visiting the base to see one in person just made sure that I never believed in triangle shaped UFOs. It's always kind of surprising to hear people talk about the one time a B2 flew over them and how shockingly quiet it was. :notsure:

The A-10 has a more closely guarded place in my heart, though:

I was stationed at Eglin AFB in pan handle FL. They did testing for the A-10 guns all the time, their gun is just music to my ears. I never got assigned to a flying unit but if I could pick one it would be for the 10's. Get to see them once in awhile out here for exercises.

It's such absolute mega unit of an aircraft. BRRRTT is in our blood around here. I'm glad they are still in service and able to fly over people in lakes like @CygnusX191 taking their trucks for a swim (EDIT: I just reread that you were actually swimming, not using your taco as a duck boat, sorry).

@CygnusX191 just has to say that for legality purposes. He trying to get that insurance money to buy @uploadadventure truck. As for the A-10 the USAF has been trying to retire them but the Army wouldn't let that happen. Pretty sure it's one of the few reasons they like us lol.

I've always thought that the A-10, just like the M16, would be better served as an interservice program. Either way, it gets used.

Too much money involved in A-10s...From the aircraft itself to parts, pilots, maintenance personnel, facilities, etc. Plus idk if I could trust the army to not destroy the last 281 aircraft.

So funny story....I had my windows cracked maybe half a cm.... And it rained so fucking hard I had to let the truck sit with everything out for a day in the sun to dry. Again.

They're making new F-15s, they can make new A-10s. :plane:

Hey Guys, my work is moving me back to MO in September. I'm thinking about selling my Tacoma out here in CO before we move....
Are there forest service roads and trails (not just OHV trails) in Mark twain national forest and dispersed camping like out here in the west? I know there's offroad parks and stuff out there but from what I remember everything is privately owned?
