Adding on some BFG KO2s definitely helped the stance of the truck a bit, but it still looked to narrow and tall overall. This inspired the upgrade to some hub centric wheel spacers to poke the tires out a bit for a little more aggressive stance. I should say, I plan on getting new suspension soon so this may change. For now, here is the down low on the spacers I chose.

Spidertrax Wheel Spacers - 1.25 inch:

Before the spacers. It's basically flush but I just wasn't feelin' it still.

    IMG_2994.jpg

After spacers were installed. In my opinion, it pokes out just enough...not too much.

View of the back driver-side wheel. Im on a slanted in this photo so it actually pokes out a bit more than this.

The finished product. I am much more happy with this look. It feels to ride the exact same. Only one issue...there is a tiny but of rubbing, which is concerning because these tires are worn. So new suspension/lift coming soon!

Thanks, only thing is they do rub a bit when the wheel is fully cranked or turning into a steep driveway. Looking to put a small lift on now.

Had some fun testing out my new pressure washer as well as new foam and foam cannon by Adam's Polishes. Here is a short little video I made to test everything out.

So much better than a bucket and sponge. Do you have any favorite cleaning products you use and recommend? Adams Polishes foam was good but I have not tried any other products yet.

I have not personally used anything other than Meguiars and Mothers. The Gold Class soap from Meguiars smells great, foams like a mother, and cleans well on the cannon gun. I have tried others but this one works the best for me. I have been real happy with the Mothers Brazilian Carnauba Cleaner Wax. I use the liquid version. Put it on lightly and buffs off easy. I also have good ol NuFinish liquid and you know what...it works and makes both my white truck and almost Black SUV look good and swirl free.

I used the Meguiars NXT and Ultimate wax also. The NXT went on and off the easiest but since I have 3 kids and dont wax once a month like the old days I find the cleaner wax's do a pretty good job.

I have read similar recommendations around Meguiars from others as well. I think I am going to try it and compare to Adam's. Especially if I can get a more "Swirl-free" look like you said since my truck is black. I also noticed something interesting with Adams after using it twice now. This may just be the area I live in, but it seems like spiders are extremely attracted to the scent of Adams. Their foam comes in different scents (mine is bubblegum) and after using the first time, I noticed two days later my truck was covered in spider webs.

So I rewashed it again and used some homemade spider repellent to test my theory and what do you know, truck is covered again. So maybe I am overthinking it but worth trying another foam. Thanks for the Rec!

After a long wait, multiple shipping methods and a good friend...the cold air intake by K&N finally arrived. I decided to go with the 71 Series Blackhawk Edition after doing some research on the experiences of other 3rd gen Tacoma owners. In short, the install went smoothly and I could not be more pleased with this upgrade. Check out the video below from my youtube channel and let me know what you think. So this week I decided to add some hood struts to the Tacoma, because why not? I ordered my hood struts from Redline Tuning, fast shipping, great product and a fairly straight forward install. However, if you have made other modifications under your hood of your 3rd gen Tacoma, the install might not go as smoothly as you expect.

What I did not realize prior to install, is that the passenger side strut would have to fall directly over my new K&N intake air box in order to close properly. I did not find this out until after the install was complete. Minor (sketchy) modifications were neccessary to get my hood to close with these new struts.

Here is my review video of my experience. Hopefully this will help save some headaches and frustrations for future installers with after market air intakes.

I did a 3 inch I believe lift with 285/70/17 on TTRD PRO 4Runner wheels and initially had slot of run also. After aligning the castor I believe it was to love the wheel forward it’s been all good now. Keep this in mind because after the lift in “factory” specs it looked like the wheel was too close to the wheel well and not centered therefore changed the castor. I have zero issues and in 13000 miles great tire wear nothing funny. I rotate every 10k miles.
