What are the benefits of tune on the second gen? I'm sure there's a/f and timing that could be improved for a bit of power/mpg? I've tried reading the ov thread but frankly I'm not that patient. Not in Portland, but will most likely be interested when you're ready for non Portland folks

If you get me your calibration code I can set something up for a Seattle trip. I will add the ecu list to the first post. If you have a way to identify your calibration code I can request the KDMax treatment on the files.

How would I get my calibration code? And what are the benefits?

Increased throttle response, more power, and improved mpg if you respect your truck.

Some, but not all, obd2 scan tools have access to calibration codes.

This could be interesting for me. I exchanged some messages with JustDSM about getting a HPtune from him. But I’ve been hesitant to buy all that hp tuner gear. I’ve got the -3° Exhaust cam gears. Is that something you can incorporate?

So upon further review this morning it looks like only 2009-2015 Tacomas at the moment.

You can send me your ECU and I can flash it for you, saving you the cost of the hardware/credits.

Ah, I didn’t think about that. It would take some planning on my part to be without a vehicle while that gets done.

I can also flash a junkyard ECU (and/or supply a pretuned ECU) so you can simply swap ECU’s.

There are options. Just let me know if/when you’re ready no rush.

I actually have a file, created by a friend of mine. Only put it on one truck so far, up in Dallas, but he said it feels good. I did not create it, thus cannot comment much, but 1/1 for satisfied users so far.
