These Kelly Edge ATs are only a couple years old. Never run flat. All four tires have this sightly recessed depression in the same spot in the sidewall. There is some cracking in this recess on every tire. Never had another set of tires so this? Should I stop worrying about it and just send it? Or is this going to be a failure point?

Just came back from an 800+ mile road trip, and found some additional cracking. Might be buying new tires sooner than I thought.

Looks like the tire bulged out at some point. Maybe too much air pressure?? Time to replace

Yeah, not worth the tire shredding and possibly causing more damage or worse.

I'd be checking the manufacture's website to see if they had a recall at some point because of a manufacturing defect. A little bit of your time might get you new tires at no cost.

What is the date code? Any code less than XX16 is suspect for replacement.

Low pressure will enhance sidewall bulge.

The date code is 4619, so less than two years old. These were never run extremely low or extremely high. All four tires are experiencing the same cracking ring which looks like a manufacturing defect.

Only 2 years old you may have some warranty remaining. Most tire warranties are based on mileage. Check your paperwork. If within the warranty, then go to a tire store to find out what can be done.

2 year old tires shouldn't have cracking problems

Unfortunately, I didn't buy these. They were put on the truck by the dealer (400 miles away) before I purchased. There's no paperwork on the tires in the truck.

    Hmmmmmm.....you may be stuck.....

Try contacting your dealer by phone and email with pictures. Maybe they could work out a solution that is more local to you.

Worth a shot. Worse that will happen is they say No.

Those need replaced ASAP. I hope the dealer or manufacturer can help. They should not be doing that given their age, simply should not be exhibiting that behavior. Clearly a manufacturing issue.

Another thought that may provide a solution.

Find a Kelly dealer in your area. Ask them what can be done or what is needed to show purchase date or other documentation.
