Well I went to roll my window down and it broke. I’ve searched like hell and this seems to be a rare issue. Anyone else experienced this? It will roll down about half way and stops, when I roll it back up it pops like hell.

Sounds like one of the plastic bits inside the motor is broken. You might be able to pull up on the window and use the button to get it up for now. If you get an aftermarket window regulator make sure it's lifetime warranty. I've never had good luck with the chinesium ones.

Yea I scheduled a appointment at the dealer for next week but now the damn thing works perfect. It popped, snapped and you could literally see the panel move as it tried to roll the window up. Now it’s working flawlessly like it never happened.

this happened to me once. My front passenger window stopped rolling down and then it magically started working again the next day.

edit: it was like 20f degrees and it rained the night before

Sounds like your worm gear sprocket bushing popped.

Either one of the small bolts that hold the regulator to the glass came loose/fell off or the plastic tab broke off of the glass.

If the tab broke off, the glass would have to be replaced. If the bolt is off/loose, it would have to be installed/tightened with some blue Loctite.

Put a new window regulator/motor in it and you’re good. Stupid simple. Just put the window all the way up and tape it so when you remove the arms it doesn’t fall down

Dealer would probably charge you 2 hours labor and have it done it 30 mins
