Settling for something about like this.

Lot of cleaning up and fine tuning but for the rough finish km pretty happy.

    Okay guys- couple updates.

I don't regret what I did with my rear end as I learned a lot about pinion angle and stuff along that and fortunately not really all that much invested in it other than my own time. However, I should have listened to Monte and gone with spring under the more I think about it.

That being said, one of my good friends is close with Geoff from Giant Motorsports so I was finally convinced to go that route. Giant Motorsports 64" (outside of frame rail mount) spring under kit with their bypass shocks will be going on in a few months as that is the wait time on the shocks.

I have nothing against links, but they are not for me at all on this truck.

Tubbing was an absolute pain in the butt, but had to be done. I can fully stuff no problem and make it close to full lock. Beyond that it will rub a little, but it's a smooth surface and will cause no issue. At that point was an easy trade-off for me not completely removing the door hinge.

First test actual test run with 4x4 fully connected will be either this Saturday or Sunday at my favorite testing grounds Cleghorn since it isn't too far.

    Make it happen!!

Sometime around 9 to 10ish in the morning. I think I'll attempt a little of everything over there except that one line that everyone keeps rolling their vehicles down LOL

Didn't see seam sealer, so we'll see how good ol' flex seal holds up.

Yes, I know my shocks aren't fully bolted on yet...

Damn, not as bad as I thought it would be to tub for 38s. I basically cut everything out of the cab and rebuilt it for 315s. :bananadead:

Oh well that's going to help a ton. No body lift over here basically forced me to cut way more than I was planning.

Ran into @Nicklovin in Big Bear last Saturday!

Just putted around on the dirt roads out there exploring. Truck drove good but was a BRUUUUTAL drive up highway 330. Truck is so gutless in high range going up the hills. Absolutely dying to get the supercharger on.

Still waiting on LC Engineering........................ I email them every couple weeks. Apparently supercharger was planned now to arrive towards the end of the month. It's now the beginning of the month soooo....... here we are again.

Hey buddy, I got a question for you. Have you had to replace the inner and outer tie rods on your truck. How difficult is it?
Mine has a considerable amount of play and I haven't done that job before. Not sure if it's something I can tackle myself after a few videos or not, thanks

I just got a new oem rack that comes with inner tie rods installed on it from Longo Toyota in El Monte for $550. It’ll be about the same amount of work just replacing the whole rack rather than replacing the inners that cost $160 or so each.

    Outers are $55 a piece:

Just order them online and pick them up in person - they should have them next day at latest. All the guys I spoke to at the parts counter are pretty helpful, especially a guy named Dan Robles. I recommend following this video:

And doing this steering pump screen clean at the same time since you’ll have the fluid out of the system making it easy:

    Well, supercharger is in.

I had unplugged the battery during install so the ecu was recent.

Only different thing than stock that I did was go one step colder on the spark plugs.

Down the street upon first start up I was completely disappointed.

Took it for a short drive onto the highway and drove it up a long hill going to Glendale on 134 and looped back around to head home.

It pulled up the hill in 5th gear better, I think.

Back on the streets heading back home it felt a bit pepper in the gears. Not enough for me to really notice much of a difference though.

I know I have to run through two tanks of gas for the ecu to properly tune to the supercharger. Not sure if this mild of a difference is common with the first start up or not. But we'll see as time goes on.

I'm sure at some point I'll go methonal injection and higher boost. But I'll see what time has to offer with this for now.......

You may find that you'll need a 7th injector and maybe a piggyback to get the most out the SC.
Just going based on what I've heard everyone else say about the 3rz supercharger.

@BartMaster1234 has a lot of experience it. I'm sure he has some good input on the matter.

It’s a much more noticeable SC with the Manual like OP has. I have it mated to the A340F and it’s awfully unnoticeable.

Wow, guys! I have got some interesting news to share. May possibly be the ECU tuning up a bit more, but here is what I found.

Around town truck feels the same. What is beginning to really shine is the upper RPMs. I usually like the sweet spot between 2,700 and 3,000rpm for cruising. Engine would run out 4th gear up to about 4,000 rpm and sign off after that with spinning my tires and weight.

Just earlier I found out in 4th gear the truck just kept going and going and that's when I felt better about all this. I think I went a hair over 5,000 rpm and let off. DEFINITELY a noticeable difference at this point.

Still doing a high boost setup down the road. I am going to order up an AFR gauge, boost gauge, and I had ordered a 2.4" pully already just to see what happens. Will definitely be going 2.2 pulley with methanol at some point. But I am curious to see how a 2.4 pulley works in my application with colder plugs and 91 fuel since I couldn't really find any info on it. If there are issues I'll go back to my stock sized SC pulley for now until methanol.
