I have a 2014 regular cab. I put sound deadening in the doors, floors, and back of the cab. I also added the Rockford Fosgate P1675-S component speakers. They do sound better than stock, but not as good as I had hoped.

I'm wondering if I need to use a LOC to connect an amp, as I want to keep my stock radio. As another option I was wondering if I could just use a an equalizer and skip the amp and LOC. I'm not going to be using a subwoofer so I'm hoping a nice 2 channel set up should be fine?

All depends on the amp. Most modern amps will take hi-level inputs, so no need for a LOC. If you’re adding an EQ/DSP, they will almost all take hi-level in as well.

Don’t expect much bass from 6.5” drivers in the doors though. Do some decent sound deadening on your door panels for sure

I’m still new to vehicle Audio…but I do know that when in doubt amp it out.

Based on price, size, and power I was thinking of the Infinity Primus 6002A. It looks small enough to fit behind the dash somewhere, and won't overload my speakers.

I just can't envision how to hook it to the stock stereo, without something to convert the speaker wires to RCA...or vice a versa? I'm not really versed in stereo installation. I did probably go a little overboard on the sound deadening.

As stated many amps and EQs or DSPs have a built in LOC.
You use those inputs (often called HiLevel) instead of the RCA (low level)

And that is far too much sound deadening.
Not an issue other than a waste of money.

Definitely not far too much lol. While minimal to moderate coverage is very effective, there is certainly a noticeable difference between moderate and full coverage.

I wouldn’t do full coverage if I was paying for Dynamat or SoundSkins, but stuff like Noico is so cheap that you’ll definitely get your money’s worth if you take the time to do it.
That’s the biggest downside to full coverage. It takes forever

Yeah, I have a regular cab. One box of Noico and I still had a little left over. I figured might as well slap it in there as opposed to lining my garbage can. ;)
