Freshened up the rear :pumpkin: tonight.

Took about a half an hour ......it took longer to pick Wild black raspberries out of my backyard!

Put some new Toyota crush washers in......part number 12157-10010. This number is for first and second GENS both drain and fill plugs....3rd gen probably the same. The same part number is also used on the front differential fill plug. Torque for both plugs in the rear is 36 foot lbs.

Only a tiny little bit of metallic dust on the magnet which was a good sign.

I learned how to do all the gearboxes in this thread… It’s a good one…

I can only imagine… Worst thing about this button is when your standing outside your truck and start It up in gear...I have done that and the E break saved me.

What a great method to flatten that dent! I have a 12 ton bottle jack and I’m gonna keep that in mind using the frame of the truck.

Is this a deer whistle on your bumper?

Dood, I literally stood beside the 60s Ford wagon that an auto start manual Yoda tried to mount, repeatedly. Not pretty

The process is limited by the weight of the vehicle. I stopped turning the jack when I saw the front tire sidewall being unloaded. For this purpose, a 12-ton jack will just be 5x slower than the factory jack with no benefit.

I got the deer whistles after seeing them on @tgelata's truck. Super cheap at CT, Bell P/N 01000-3: https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/bell-deer-warning-signal-0375044p.html

Those deer whistles don't do anything.

Alright...so my stock leafs are pointing downward with the 150lb ish constant load I have. Is it even worth Installing the Icon 1.5 AAL that I purchased at this point? I feel like I know the answer and it's to replace the whole damn thing with the RXT leaf pack at the very least. I thought I could get away with it but after examining them briefly, the stock leafs are not in the condition I expected. Flat is totally expected, but these are pointing down...

Already recieved/ordered the Icon 1.5" progressive AAL. Unopened so fully refundable at 4WP. I guess I should get this instead:

Just open up the bolt holes with a stepped drill bit or Dremel :notsure:

Years ago, I modified my front skid for compatibility with the Pelfrey bumper. That involved cutting away the front flange and drilling two 1/2" holes. I also gained about an inch of clearance at the crossmember:

I opened up mine too to make it easier to install. Plus mine or so bent and twisted that it’s a pain. My frame may be bent though too. Trucks falling apart….
