I'd like to see everyone's set up for Overlanding/Glamping/Camping/Apocalypses Preps. I've hit a point in my build where short from adding a Super Charger, I'm unsure what else to really do. Currently starting from front to rear I have a Body Armor front bumper equipped with a 10 inch winch and light bar, a 30' light bar in my grill, Diode dynamic ditch lights, ARB Air Compressor in the hood, Genesis dual battery set up, switch pros, Injen Cold Air intake (which will be changed to a snorkel eventually), Prinsu Roof rack with storage, and 40" lightbar attached, RCI bedrack with my ROAM tent on it, the bed I have my Hi-Lift and an Axe Mounted, and Amber Lights for the rear. Suspension wise I'm running King Shocks, front and rear, with Total Choast UCAs, I'll have OME leafs installed with archive garage U-bolt flip w/ bump stop, and BAMF hammer hangers, and an add a leaf. Comm's so far I just have a CB, but I have a GMRS radio coming in soon too. I'm mostly wanting this to be ready to survive on it's very own, and eventually start a Nature Guiding/Camping trip tour business for vets and stuff looking to get into this lifestyle. So I'd like to make this as capable to sustain on it's own with limited needs to go back and rejuice except for the obvious basics of like food, gas, and oil. I started this with the goal of getting my wife into the Camping and exploring scene with me. And honestly turning wrenches, and working on it is kinda my zen. I'm not at the point where some ideas would be nice to know where to from here. Pictures would be nice, and I hope everyone has a great day. Thank you

We have no clue what you have, making it hard to predict what you might benefit from.

I recommend using it as is, then modifying for functional improvements as you find shortcomings.

Please don’t add any pics of your current setup, that wouldn’t help at all.

Soon as I'm off work I intended too, lol. Probably should have done it then, I apologize for the long explanation of what I had installed, I was just working with what I could do at the time. Thank you for being polite about the request.

    Is "overlanding" still a thing?

I thought they came up with some new cringe name for taking photos of your "rig" parked 5 feet off the pavement to post on IG.

You'll need water processing and fuel production capabilities for your end of the world build. Otherwise you just described the average mall crawler who wants to look cool on Instagram when camping twice a year build. How long does it take to self recovery when you can only winch 10" at a time? Do you need an oversized load placard when driving around with a 30 foot light bar?

Unless he converts over to an older diesel like a Cummins or Mercedes, he’s going to have a hard time making gasoline.

biodiesel I can make so long as I can obtain methanol, lye, and cooking oil. Or just run straight veggie oil provided the temps stay warm enough so it doesn’t gel.

Damn some of you guys are hard on a fella. This is a place for discussions.
    OP I didn’t see mentioned:
EMP protection (because yes that could be a thing whether man made or natural)
    Water storage
    Food storage
    Power generation

just a few thoughts it’s what you asked for.

Generator setup. I don't see many generators on overland builds. Or any interesting ways to mount them in the bed. Generators seem like the latest trend in pick up truck land.

Very true! We are equipped with 300 watts of solar but I’m kinda interested in the solar generators but haven’t researched any

Needs camo netting and poles for shade depending on your climate. You can even find white/snow netting that helps to reflect heat away. Great for the desert and popular at Burning Man.
