Buy Premium Sound System?

Take it from an old guy with decades of experience - as tempting and as logical as it seems, NEVER CHECK THE BOX FOR THE FACTORY PREMIUM SOUND SYSTEM!
1) They are almost never as good as just installing a set of decent aftermarket speakers (that probably cost less than the additional fee for the premium upgrade).
and:
2) The premium system is always difficult, if not impossible, to upgrade.

 

I believe all around you're better off just buying the most basic vehicle with the features you're looking for, not all the BS extras.

I really wanted a 4runner Pro....after doing audio on one and an OR, I realized I'd be fine buying the most basic version and upgrading everyone myself (Leather Seats, Audio, Suspension). To me theres no value in paying for all the factory extras. Especially any factory audio "upgrades".

 

Factory audio is a joke in most makes. If your going to use all that other fancy don’t get stuck stuff then okay. Most Pro’s i see of any model are pavement princesses.

To each their own though, some just want the cool factor and dont care about the extra money spent.
