Ya, the day after install, I went to take a mid day nap and as I was dozing off, I heard my truck start up. Figured my dad was just moving it so didn't think anything of it. Find out a few hours later that he hooked up our trailer and towed it around a bit (cleaning out the tank, wanted to shake the tank with the cleaner in it bit). He didn't know how to activate 2lo, and backed it up in 2hi again:facepalm:

I'll probably install mine this weekend and just use the 4x4 selector to enable it, but may revisit it when I have time to think about wiring in a button. The wiring diagram looks relatively simple, but I'd rather wait to see how others route the wiring and what they tap into.

Installed it last night and had it going in under 15 minutes.....Seems to work great in my limited testing and should make manuvering the sailboat around the storage lot easier.

I think mine arrived way back on the 21st but I've been out of town. The AOB switch arrived too so just waiting for the time to do the install. I'll post some info on the switch install when I get to it if someone hasn't done it already. Can't wait.
    Tks for the product run!!

Man I have been looking at this for a while. I just don't know that I would use it enough. I hardly wheel hard or tow a trailer. Really want it just cause I know it's nice to have when you need it...:(

Wow, that was easy. I clocked it at 8 min including a trip back into the garage to dig out the 10mm cause I didn’t read the instructions first.
I appreciate all the time and effort you guys put into this! Over the last 15 years I’ve bitched so many times that I couldn’t use low range in 2 Wheel Drive.

In case anyone hasn't posted a video of the dash sequence on an older 2nd Gen (2006)

FWIW, while it may be primarily beneficial for backing up a trailer, I have also found it beneficial in any situation that I wanna back the truck up slowly. Say if I'm trying a bit of precision backing, squeezing between a tree and a vehicle, and want to go as slowly as possible.

    It's a never ending $100-$200 a week thing & still going.
Got mine last week and finally got around to putting it in on lunch. Took no time at all and works great. Thanks again for doing one more run.

Just installed mine today. Very easy install and I even installed the OEM style switch to the left of the steering wheel.
I went and tested it in the neighborhood cul-de-sac. I went into 2LO and turned all the way left to lock and did a full 360 degree spin with no binding. Bravo, this is going to be epic on the Black Bear Pass switchbacks! :D
