Our current dog - mini Aussie named Huckleberry, only weighs about 35 pounds and he's only 4 years old. He has no trouble jumping in and out of my Tacoma on his own.

Our previous dog was a larger breed, she weighed around 60 pounds, and when she got older, she could no longer jump in, and we couldn't lift her up. So I did some internet research and found an outstanding product called https://petloader.com which is a folding set of steps for pets. They make several sizes for doggos all the way up to 150+ pounds. Extremely rugged and well made product, will certainly outlast my wife and I.
