So i have a 2018 SR 4 cylinder with the stock headlights and wanted to upgrade to some after market LED headlights that will plug and play. Any good options out there that will fit this SR model??

There are no plug and play led headlights for the sr model. The sr uses all halogen bulbs and the wire harness is different. You can buy an led adapter here on tw.

Could switch out bulbs for Hikari Ultras or the new Morimoto 2 Stroke 3.0.

For less cost and headache of converting to the OEM LED or other headlight you could probably send your stock headlights in for an LED retrofit from @no vtec 4me

This won't give you LED headlights, but you could replace your headlights with OEM TRD Pro halogen black headlights 17-19. You would have a non functioning LED DRL, and still no LED headlights. You could always add LED bulbs if you wanted to.

the morimoto xb, alpharex, and tacomabeast 2020 OEM clones are plug and play for SR.

install video of morimoto xb on SR - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqQ0zca3CD0&ab_channel=HeadlightRevolution

these vland alibaba ones that can be found on ebay are plug and play as well.

    (not my pic)

more or less the same. it should come with its own wiring harness. there's no universal one-harness-works-for-all solution. you can ask them for more details.

the tricky part of the SR and aftermarket headlights is the factory wiring's DRL and turn signals are the same so you have to power the aftermarket's DRL separately. sometimes that changes the functionality of the headlight a bit. for example, the vland ones that i posted above is what i have and on the DRL spot on the stalk only the amber turn signals turn on. to get the white DRL you have to turn it to the parking lights position. the old depo headlights i used to have there would be a 3 second delay from when you'd turn on your blinkers and see your turn signal because of the module to get the LED DRL's to work.

i don't know about the particularities of the morimotos or tacomabeast ones since i've never owned them.

edit: obligatory "before you buy new headlights you should read crash's thread" - https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/3rd-gen-hid-vs-led-vs-halogen-h11-projector-headlights.589465/

hope this isn't too late - I have the depots for my second gen, and they are without a doubt the worst headlights I've experienced - and I used to drive cars made in the 60s and 70s. My headlights would shine only about 15 feet in front of the truck - that was the hotspot; my driving lights shined farther and brighter. They looked cool, they looked great - but they performed HORRIBLY.
