A deer jumped out at my 5 months old 2021 Tacoma Off Road Premium on a cross country road trip. The whole cooling system is smashed in and both quarter panels are bent. I have a flight booked home as I don't think it will be driving any time soon.

    Lets hear your repair estimates!

24,000 when it's all said and done. They aren't likely to total it.

I hit a deer in my 2014 a month ago and the current estimate is $5K. Mine was still drivable. I’ll bet you clear $15K for sure (but you need a better photo).

Here is a better photo from today.

I doubt they will total it either. The airbags did not deploy and besides for the lack of coolant, it still drives. Unlikely I will be parting out but if by the off chance it is totaled, I will be needing to find a new home for the camper shell I just picked up last week...

oh thats not as bad as I thought it was.

if I had to guess, the only things that need to be replaced would be the bumper, headlights, grille, grille housing, front valance, hood (maybe), fenders (maybe), radiator, radiator mounts, splash guards, lower grille, horns (maybe)

Welcome to the forum. Sorry for your bad luck. It’s amazing how many deer think it’s fun to jump in front of vehicles. My guess is $12K for the repairs.

The quarter panels are bent? Did the rear of the cab shove into them?

The to of the panels near the windshield is bent but the rest seems to be okay. They may be able to be bend back but am not sure what is going on underneath. The deer hit the hood and flew over the cab, I am amazed the windshield did not break.

Ouch! Michigan is one of the states where you are most likely to hit a deer and it is one of my biggest fears with my truck. I feel your pain!

Oh, the front fenders. Quarter panels are usually associated with the rear fender/Cpillar areas

Fking deer - useless - got no use for 'em - as a former motorcycle rider they were high on my list
as hazards. Had one walk, while I was at a 4-way stop sign... WALK into the side of my car once.

Stupid fkers got no business on this planet.

    Hope your Truck gets well.

    Glad you are OK.
