Had this Tacoma for about a month now. Noticed this “defect” at the dealership and pointed out. However, I’m finding more and more of them, about 8-10, and I’m sure there’s more. They became more pronounced with a good polishing. Dealership is of the opinion that it is damage (and it’s a used vehicle). I’d buy that if there was 1 or maybe 2 but 8-10?

Anybody else seen anything like this and any ideas what’s causing it?

It looks like bird droppings stained the paint. Will a light buffing compound take it out?

No actually I think the polishing I did brought it out more. Up close it’s actually paint chips, not stains.

This. You were egged at some point and must have rained to wash off the liquid chicken. See if each spot is the approx same size and shape. If so you were egged. Call insurance and file comp claim.

I guess that’s a possibility. Somebody didn’t like this person if that’s the case. And they are on both sides.

Only one (that I’ve found) is on top. It’s on the hood. Horizontal hail? Lol

Hail will not break paint. Unless very large, and not in that pattern.

    I just pee’d in bed

clay bar should get it out. if clay bar doesn't work, buff it out with compound.

I’d have to buff it to the primer. These are all little chips in the paint that wax has just amplified.

Only thing that gets out egg damage is repaint. Don't give him false hope and if you don't know egg damage, dont comment.

100% eggs. When I was in college I had a crazy ex egg my car at least 10 times and it was covered with these marks. I didn't know who was doing it until I finally caught her and called the cops. She had no idea she was causing actual damage to the car, but yea those shells tear right through the paint.
