So I gather it is more like Pick a Team and Go with it...!!??

Person A love Brand x and Person B love brand y.

So instead of asking who makes the "Best" product to clean and detail you Taco what are 3-5 brands to trust and what are 3-5 brands to "Stay the F away from"?

There isn't enough time or vehicles that one person could test all the good products out there. Even the great products are only marginally better than the good ones. I can't see any reason to only purchase from one brand, choose individual products that people rave about or like. I would say look at the brands that are sold at Autogeek/Autopia and Detailed Image for more than enough decent brands to buy from. These companies often put out 15-25% off coupons, these are the times to shop there. You'll generally save big over Amazon and elsewhere.

What I would avoid: Shine Armor and F11, these seem to fall in the realm of spam the shit out of social media and are less than mediocre. Chemical Guys, overhyped with marketing and the products are just OK. Many people start here and some continue to use them and you'll have decent results but many that go on to try other products likely don't come back to them.

The brand I've liked the most is CarPro, otherwise there are individual products from a dozen or more brands that are worthy of buying. Others: Optimum, Griots, Gyeon, 3D, Gtechniq even the Autogeek/Autopia house brands are great.

Even products you can pickup at the auto parts stores are becoming better and better. It would have been easier to include them on the bad list 10 years ago like Turtle Wax.

Stay away from any company that demos it’s product on a dirty car without washing first. F11 I’m looking at you.
