I had to order a replacement seat belt today. MSRP seems to be $279. I called the Toyota dealer where I bought the truck and was told that it would be $349 because they didn't stock it and would have to order it.

I contacted another Toyota dealer about an hour from me and they had it for $199. Added in tax and shipping and it'll be on my doorstep for $233 in a few days.

Just a reminder that even dealers are not immune to playing with pricing. I'm sure some of the upcharge was to have me eat the shipping for ordering it but I can't account for why Sun Toyota wanted $70 over MSRP not including tax.

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
I thought "saftey devices" (including seatbelts and their mechanisms) were warrantied in cars and trucks for the life of the vehicle?
What was wrong with yours that you had to order. One of my dealer , years ago said this is one of the manufacturers best kept secrets as they don't tell you about the warranty when you order stuff like the seat belt stuff
Understand -I have been wrong before!

Always shop around. Seen a lot of people pay a lot of money when they dont need to.
