Had the chance to meet @MACKT28 today! One hell of a guy! (Posting pictures later)
Him and I were talking about a possible group camping trip somewhere in the near future, trying to get a feeler on seeing who all would be interested? Also dates!

My free oil changes are gone. Due for a change by this weekend. What synthetic oil is everyone running? I have an OEM filter and crush washer just need to pick up some oil.

x2 for Mobil1. It's all that I've put in any of my vehicles for the past 15+ years.

Readily available, cheapest at Walmart, and currently running a good promo.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
    Very nice

Sooooo your free oil changes could continue (mostly, minus filter costs) if you don't mind putting in a little bit of work.

The site below has a lifetime warranty on everything except consumables (brake cleaner, etc; whatever can't be put back into a container). You'll have to pay upfront for the 1st order of oil, every order following will be free.

    https://www.fcpeuro.com

I order two 5L jugs of this which qualifies me for free shipping. Once i receive and change oil, I put the old oil back into the containers. And ship it back (you do have to pay for shipping initially). If you have a PayPal account, they offer 15 free return reimbursments (up to $30) a year. So after the initial purchase of the first jugs of oil, all the rest is free, you just have to put in a little bit of work to make it happen. And its GREAT oil.

Oh, and you still have to purchase a filter. I suggest getting a Mobil 1 filter at Walmart, they are generally $5-10 cheaper than the parts store.

I've gone through this process about 5 times now and have had zero issues getting my money back every time from both FCP and PayPal.

EDIT - Here is where you sign up for the return shipping refund: https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/returns

EDIT #2 - If all this is more than you prefer to deal with, I back the Mobil 1 recommendation! Get it at Walmart, same as the filter.

Haha that’s some solid advice. I might give it a shot on the next go around. how’s your driveshaft search going?

Meh. It’s going. I’m just being cheap and holding out. My last used DS I got for $150 so it’s hard for me to justify spending $400-$500 on another used one knowing what I got my last one for.

I technically still have my original one, it’s just a bit out of balance but I’ll probably throw that one back in temporarily until I find another one for a solid price. Ideally I find one super cheap that needs a full rebuild. I can pull the u-joints/carrier bearing off the one I broke; I replaced that hardware not long ago at all.

why not take the original over to the driveshaft place Cory went to and have them balance it for $50?

thats a possibility. I’ve thought about it. It’s got a couple dents in it though so I’d probably still only use it as a spare, I’m a little worried about it’s structural integrity

Got the filter drain kit to go along with my Fumoto valve on the plug. I need to do my 20k oil change this weekend or next, I'm aiming for no oil spilled.
