Soon to be new owner. Update: it's being built!

Hi all.

Finally getting a Tacoma after 3 years of a F150, and another 6 of a Tundra. Tacoma was the one I always wanted, but the Tundra was the one that was the right price at the right time since I had to buy used.

Now in the waiting game. I'm waiting on a Metalic Grey SR v6 double cab that the local dealer ship did a trade to get allocated to them. It's only a base, but with room to mod, I'm totally happy with that. Going to add runningboards/steps and a tonneau cover for sure, just got to decide on what.

Can't wait, just (hopefully!) another 6-8 weeks!

UPDATE: Talked with the sales manager yesterday. He said build date was 7/2. looking like it could be "only" 4-6 weeks until my truck is in!

 

The smaller size (F150/Tundra to Tacoma) will take a little getting used to, but I LOVE my Tacoma....purchased my first Taco in March 21 and I absolutely love it. I wish I'd done just a little more research.....I got the SR5 4X4 and the only thing I don't like is that I have drum brakes on the back....but if that's my only complaint, I'm doing good! Wecome!

 

Thanks. yeah, it will be a bit different with the smaller truck. Funny part is, the 21 taco is rated to pull more than my Tundra! Can't wait, this is the first new vehicle i've ever purchased.

 

Well I did the opposite and traded my 17 OR for a Chevy Silverado. Needed something with more space and power. Looked at the 21 tundra but it seemed it had not changed much over the past 10 years also poor gas mileage was a concern. Anyway had my Silverado for 6 months now but looking at the specs of the new tundra I will be trading my Silverado in for one. I am heading back to toyota

 

yeah, the Tundras really didn't change much over time. I wanted a tacoma before, but back in 15 when I was shopping, there wasn't one in my price range. Tundra did awesome and it's got close to 230,000 on it. Just need something a bit newer.
