Ive got a (very cute) cabin in the deep woods down a steep gravel road, it often gets washed out, and its ROUGH as a cob as they say.

Honestly even regardless of this im a HUGE believer in TOUGH skid plates,.....ANY make etc you recommend for my 2019 long bed Tacoma , its a V6 3.5L

Hugs and thanks for any advice!!!

heres my cabin by the way!

I have @RCI-Offroad skids on my Tundra and they are beefy. I’d recommend them :curls:

Mobtown. However, if you can pick it up local you will save on shipping.

I'm sure you'll be fine w/o a skid plate if that '73 oldsmobile can make it to your cabin.

They're pretty much all a few months out.

Shocks are up to 9 months.

I have RCI aluminum skids front to back, and like 'em. Aluminum is much lighter than steel, but doesn't slide over rocks as well as steel, isn't as strong, and can't be beaten back into shape. So if you are doing a lot of rock crawling, might want to go steel. If you are not bashing over rocks regularly, and want to keep weight down (remember, armor eats into payload), go aluminum.

I was able to pick up my RCI skids in person, so no shipping costs. Like someone else said previously, buying local can save hundreds of dollars in shipping. If you don't have anything local, I think you'll be happy with RCI, but there are a lot of quality products out there. Mobtown is well-known for quality heavy-duty armor. I've also heard good things from people I know about BudBuilt.

Gas Tank (the Sport has no gas tank protection, the Off-Road has a thin steel skid):

I have RCI sliders and they're solid. Their front skid looks good but to install it you must leave out the 2 steel reinforcement bars, which gave me some pause. I assume the reinforcement bars are there for good reason...
