    Hello All,

    I am stoked to be joining this forum. I have referenced forum threads from here for a few years and finally grew the courage to join. My ego gets the best of me sometimes.

    A little about me and my rig: 29 year old male currently located in Bend, Oregon. I was born and raised in the southern states which is where my love for tacos first originated due to exposure of tacoma farm vehicles and wheeling rigs.

    Truck: 97 Tacoma 3.4 SR5 manual - She has been through the ringer but has allowed me to learn so much about vehicle mechanics. She likes long drives with tools/gear loaded in the bed. My significant other likes to joke that my tacoma is my first love... she is not wrong. 11 year relationship and happily still bonded together mostly by welds, thread locker, and rust to be honest.

    Improvements/issues addressed:
    -60/40 bench swapped to 3rd Gen 4Runner bucket seats;
    -frame rot (huge project) Safe-T-Caps installed on both driver and passenger sides near front leaf brackets;
    -used engine swap due to blown head gasket;
    -sway bar bushing upgrades;
    -U-joints replaced;
    -too many projects to recall;

    I am currently working to figure out if the wheel bearings need replaced. I will look for an existing forum to post those questions/vids on.

    Thanks for welcoming me and I look forward to learning with you all in this process we call wrenching.

    Welcome to TacomaWorld
    Kind of surprised to hear about rust issues as my brother (visiting here from Portland this weekend) sends me pictures from time to time of older rust free vehicles from up there.
