Eibach PRO TRUCK Coilover 2.0 Stage 2

I had them follow the recommend specs from the JBA site. I’m going somewhere else because they didn’t give me a spec sheet and I feel they didn’t follow it. It rubs way too much. Its my 1st time running aftermarket UCAs so I’m still tinkering with it.

 

Get the before and after when you get it aligned again, I’m going with the same setup in a few weeks after my UCAs come in and I get some down time.

 

Thanks for that info! I am so happy to hear that they confirmed that these will work on the 2nd Gen. I had called them about 2 or 3 months back and they said that they would not work. So I am very stoked to hear that they will. I really like everything I hear about the eibach and they are the ones I want. Much appreciate you letting me know !!

 

So just bumping this back up as I've been active in here for a long time...

I had mentioned a clunking noise from my 2.0 coilovers forever, since install basically. I could not track the noise down. It ended up being my RCI Skidplates were a little loose (two of the bolts). Allowing just enough movement to be annoying.

Also, in efforts to thwart the noise, I put some SPC upper control arms, and re-did my alignment. My factory arms (at my lift point - 2" or so up front) had great caster, right at 3.7 or so. Dialed it back to 3.0 on the SPC arms. It could be just my imagination, but the truck seems to ride better with these arms. It's nothing drastic, but it feels smoother over mid bumps.

I have also mentioned that since installing my setup (2.0 coilovers up front, 1" block and eibach shocks out back) I have a little "something" around 35-45mph. It's a rhythmic vibration, it cycles through every second or two. I put a set of OME Carrier Bearing spacers (they are about 1/4") on but it did not fix it. However, they are $20 and take 5 minutes to install, so worth it if you are chasing anything.

My advice for people reading this thread, if you are looking at blocks, do the 1" blocks from Wheeler's that are tapered 1* degree. They cost the same as the Eibach's and it's one less thing to worry about.

My long-ish term plans are to wait for the new Eibach remote reservoir shocks to come out, and do Archive Garage Hammer Hangers and their new Prerunner lift springs (still to be finished). This will be a very mild leaf pack but super soft riding for those of us who have little to no extra weight in the back.

They're here! And boy are they heavy. Got them with the rear shocks too.

Now I just need to decide what kind of rear lift I need. Anyone have a recommendation?

PS Archive Garage is coming out with their own leaf pack?! Very intriguing

Archive is close to releasing their medium and heavy duty leaf packs. Their light duty prerunner pack (what I want) is still a few months out.

 

Sometimes pinpointing these damn clunks and squeaks are frustrating as hell lol

Do I need a rear lift? Or is it optional.

Sorry to butt in the convo. But I'm having trouble deciding what to put in my rear after I get the shocks on.

 

Just installed my Eibach stage 2s on the front. I have Fox 2.0s on the back. Ride is firm without being harsh or jarring. Also installed SPC UCAs at the same time. Liking the setup so far.

 

What size tires and rims

 

17x8.5 -10 offset 285/70 17 tires

No worries man, rear lift is optional. I ran w/ Stage 2 for quite some time before I finally added my Headstrong AAL

Depends on your needs, budget, etc... rear block or AAL will be your best route for a lift in the rear

Oh wow, so I dont actually need an aal or block right away? That's sweet.

I would get a block but I could also wait and get a AAL. Is there a "science" to getting the correct aal? I was looking into the icon aal but I'm open to other options.

 

Lift packs are designed for load/lift. So depending on how much weight is in your bed (bed rack, RTT, gear, heavy bumpers) you may need a different leaf pack to get your desired lift height.

I wanted to put 265/70/17 on my truck, lift and level it moderately, and be able to adjust for ride height up front. I have a 19 OR, I chose the OR initially due to them riding softer than the sports supposedly.

My Eibach 2.0 rides and drives better than factory, there are times over a big bump it will feel a bit more harsh than factory but most of the time I prefer the way it rides now.

I went with a 1" block out back (I chose Eibach), but as mentioned earlier I would go with the Wheeler's Off-Road tapered block if I had to do it again.

My lift is probably about 1.75" up front, I still have about a half inch rake out between front and rear.

 

I’ve had mine on for about a month and just got done with a 3800 mile trip to Moab and I’m loving the set up. I did the Deaver single AAL out back and I also have sumo springs for towing the trailer. With the Deaver and most of the bed empty it has a slight rake, but looks good. With about 350lbs in the bed it sits level. I installed the coilovers at the Eibach factory height for now and I love the combo. Sitting on 265/75-16’s
