Hey all, this is my first posting so I apologize for incorrect formatting. I’m going to be installing bilstein 6112’s and 5100’s in the rear. My first question is would it be best to set my notches at #5/#4 to accommodate for taco lean and achieve the highest ride height without sacrificing comfort. Or go #5/#5 with 1/4 spacer on driver side? Also don’t want to do new uca unless I have too.
My second question and my main one is, should I keep my rear 5100’s at a low notch and throw in an aal or just bump up the 5100’s to my desired height (2”) comfort and handling is important but I know there are sacrifices. I don’t tow or load up the back too heavy and it’s a DD for me.

rear 5100s are not adjustable so its either an aal or block.

Your desire to reach a 2" lift in the rear can be done with an AAL, if the leaf springs on your truck are not flat or have a negative arch. If you do get that 2" lift the 5100 rear shocks will work with stock height and up to a 1" lift... some say up to 2" just like the OEM shocks. The problem with 2" or greater lift the 5100 and OEM rear shocks could top out and blow the shock. This is if you're off road and flexing the suspension.

As for the front, I'm not that versed on the 6112's and their settings, but the general consensus to alleviate the "Taco lean" is a spacer on the DS. Not sure how much of a lift you're doing on the front. but what I recall reading is you can keep the stock UCA's but they say you'll get a better ride by replacing the UCA when lifting the front 3" or more. I also read that l if your truck can not obtain the specs when getting a front end aligment, (after your lift) you'll need new UCA's. They also said new UCA"s will also be better for the front end in the long run.

Thanks guys this gives me a lot to work with! I guess I’ll be doing the AAL or a progressive pack and level her out from there and bite the bullet on UCA’s if I have too. I’m paying a shop to install so I don’t have much money left over. At some point I’ll get a Dakar pack and new uca’s but hopefully I can achieve 2.5” of front lift and a level rear without it

I got about 2.25” with 4/4 on the front. To get 2.5” you’ll want to go 5/5.

I’d recommend trying to install yourself and saving the money for UCAs, I don’t think my alignment specs would’ve come out so well without them.
