I always feel like I am misreading a dipstick. I actually like the system for checking the ATF level in these Tacos. It is a bit intimidating when you start reading how precise the temp needs to be, and you have to crawl under the truck while it is running to open the overfill plug, but I also feel like I nailed the level exactly. Study up on how the fluid level is checked, don't be intimidated, and enjoy the precise system we have.

I see so many complaints on here, that we don't have a dipstick to check transmission fluid level. Just wondered had anyone done some sort of mod for this?

Would the bolt holes in an earlier A750E/A750F pan line up with the newer models? Next question would be the pan capacity. Let's say the bolt holes do line up. You install the older pan with dipstick tube and fill. Drive for the once customary 15-20 miles; then check fluid level on stick. Do you really have the correct amt. of fluid?

To me it is not worth the grief of possibly wrecking the transmission. A 6" length of jumper wire is all that's needed.
