Has anyone done a mod on this. I didn't like the fact that my coolant can or may spray all over the motor . I would still like to replace the stock cap.

Never seen anyone with a modified cap.

I’d be more concerned with “why” it would spray on the engine.
Not that “it can” spray on the engine.

If it sprays on the engine, you probably have bigger problems than just the coolant being “on” the engine.

Im not trying to being a prick here.
I just not sure that your concern is worth worrying about.

I can't say I've ever seen/heard of this as an issue.

Man, the stuff you guys come up with around here to worry about! On the other hand, maybe there is a business opportunity here. Can I interest you in a stainless steel coolant reservoir cap deflector plate complete with TRD logo? :)

Not in motor compartment. When I first bought my truck brand new I was like who and the hell designed this boner lol cap on the reservoir. So the nipple on the reservoir overflow just shoots straight into that cap then from being deflected it gets on the motor.

Unless yours is different look at the coolant res cap look at the overflow nipple and you judge what's gonna happen when res overflows I've had to clean coolant a few times in my motor compartment
