5lugger completed the central Florida to windrock Tennessee trip without problem, brakes where ok,cruise speed of 65 from fl to tn, then back home did 70-75,was more happier at 65 with less downshift to keep the speed on Georgia i75 slight hills.but in overall i was kind of surprise LOL

If a 2.4L can pull that, I can only imagine what my 2.7L can pull! I’ve not only got a trailer hitch on my 5-lugger, but a 2” add-a-leaf kit (which is supposed to increase load-carrying and towing capacity)!

Is yours manual or automatic transmission?

I was thinking why not trailer the Taco, that thing probably has more hp/tq to tow :D

Lol...planning a break down ahead of time and the Can am can pull the rest of the trip. Must've been a good deal? Or you have a bunch of PTO time to kill?

Not at all surprised! I had airbag load management when I had the 5 lugger, and frequently filled the bed with two DR650 motorcycles loaded with dessert tanks and all our camping gear, and of course, my ride buddy - and that was here in California driving from the ocean to the sierras in an access cab, typically cruising with traffic (80ish). The 2.4l did it no problem, occasionally needing to downshift but only on climbs to maintain speed. I've driven a 2.7 prerunner before, and it feels anemic compared to the 2.4.... strange, I know, but there is truly something special about that 2.4; it seems to have power and toughness that well exceeded it's displacement
