I like to do the 3 pass loop at Telluride, last Thurs I read black bear wasn't open yet and imogene was only open the Tomboy.

So I friday I went up to Tomboy, where I met 3 trucks that said it just opened that morn and they just came over the pass, black bear wasn't open yet so I didn't bother. Just came back down and went over Ophir.

San Juan's are absolutely my favorite, and my wife loves it too.

I have, it's mostly a very mellow route.

The cobdr crosses and intertwines with the continental divide trail, basically the cobdr is the dirt rd and conti is the more technical trail.

Mixing the two makes for a great run.

Another awesome one is "tour of the west" it's an awesome loop through 5 states, one guy in Idaho put it together over many years of exploring.

The az Traverse originally included Casner mtn, which is a 50" trail so no trucks, but there's a workaround now. It's a good route, though missing out on the casner switchbacks is a bummer.

Another guy I know is working on a loop visiting many of the hot springs in Eastern Oregon and Northern Nevada. I've done some of that with him and his friends, gonna be a good one.

And another guy I know has the GCBAR, a loop around the grand canyon, he put alot of work into it and it's a good one, though I prefer the north rim half of it, the rest is alot of hiway driving.

Now, what do all these routes have in common? They were all put together by adventure motorcycle guys, you overlanders need to step up your game.

Well, I'd love to make routes. A) Need to win lotto or something to afford taking a ton of time off. B) Retire from winning lotto?

Casner should be open to trucks unless they changed it in the last 2 years. I’ve gotten the permit and done it twice. Think it’s limited at 86” if I remember correctly which I would no longer meet

That's right, I forgot you can get a permit, do they still give the combo for the gates with the permit or has that changed?

Last I did it they gave you the combo for the gates with the permit. But looking back it’s been closer to 4 years since I did it. Permits were good for 7 days, Sunday to Saturday and allowed up to 10 vehicles and 30 people in the group if I remember correctly

So I was looking for a new Coleman stove since mine broke and found this one. Pretty neat and compact!

    Coleman Fold N Go™ InstaStart™ 2-Burner Propane Stove,Red https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000F7T2MU?_encoding=UTF8

trying to downsize in general too and went with this percolator. No more drip coffee since it’s too bulky and takes too long.

Do you need 2 burners? Ive been pretty happy using a jet boil and a single burner stove.

I was actually going to get a single burner to save on space until I found this. One burner for the percolator and the other for the food.

No I don't. I need one myself to be honest. I was looking at the folding one's. I think there all probably the same.
