no penguins, and you just try and kick us "idiots" out of our country, my province has announced a $450 million surplus this year, and thats without any of that money california owes us.

How about calling for an end to this futile "war on drugs" that is only costing the tax payer money and filling up your jails, costing more money.

yeah, the "war on drugs" is a huge waste of time. not only would we save money, but we'd make money if hte government started growing and selling weed. but i dont see that happening anytime soon

no not in the US, soon in Canada. they don't even have to legalize it or anything, just call off the DEA. make them concentrate on hard drugs not pot. take the real criminals off the streets. The DEA recently raided a legal dispensary in California...so much for letting the states govern themselves.

It is all of their faults. Politicians sell out their own country to special interests.

If they go to Washingtom thinking they can change it, they usually find out that they need to change and allow themselves to get swallowed up like the rest of them or they won't be around for long.

Pathetic what it had become, and the dumbies from the outside are so distracted by the Party blame game that the end result is 'business as usual', which results in the status quo, aka, the selling out of what made the country what was before the flushing sound got so loud.

I feel I need to post a reply to this... Being my 1st post I will try and not get too upset and try to educate everybody.. but this topic really pisses me off..

The blame goes to the Democrats for starting these programs and their continued blocking of any effort to put any regulations in place to control the Fanny Mae / Freddy Mac fiasco...

ACORN is another Major Player in this mess... Whom Barack Obama is the Poster Child for...
The whole liberal mind set of a (chicken in every pot and a poor person in every house) has really screwed up this country and education system..

The MSM.. (Main Stream Media) should bear most of the blame for their liberal ideology and biased reporting..
Here is a link to how it all got started.. A long read, but very educational..
    http://www.ibdeditorials.com/IBDArticles.aspx?id=310173877357981

Here is another link to a mandate from HUD to Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac and to the banking industry.. Complements of the Clinton Administration.. The 1st two paragraphs and the 3rd from the last says a lot... http://www.ahfc.state.ak.us/iceimages/news/110300-hud-announces-new-regulations.pdf

From what I gather, considering the sources. We are. We have lived beyond our mean's, trying to keep up with the dude next door. We charged, we took out loans, we purchased way passed our limit...then the bubble burst.
It'll come back. Give it many years...

Hey, think how much money he USA will save by pulling out of Iraq. Oh no, I think I struck a nerve!

Really, it's bad, but I remember ole' Richard Nixon trying to but a halt on inflation by freezing wages, etc for like nine months.

    Go have a beer!

Its still you the American people that elected those people into power, and you the American people that are supposed to stand up and tell your leaders what you want. To blame any 1 party is ridiculous, I definitely agree that the media is alot to blame. The world view of America has been dim for years now, and your recent war on Iraq didn't help any. You can throw blame to whichever party you don't belong, but its still on the shoulders of the American people IMO. Don't you think that when your country owes more money then it can possibly pay off, there might be a problem? I know Bush and Clinton added to this debt, but they were still just adding to it. It will only take longer to fix the problem if you continue this train of thought... What absolutely kills me is why both of our governments don't look to the model which is Europe for some answers? They've for the most part been here done that, there people are happy, wealthy, and happy. Both of our countries have a long way to go IMO. We need to take care of our own before we start helping others. Just my .02 cents.

We could also save a crap load of money if we stopped trying to get to Mars. We spend countless billions on the space program when the world around us is going to sh!t. I am all for exploring space but who cares if there is water on Mars. We spend tons of money on trying to find intelligent life on other worlds when we can't even find it on our own planet.
