On one of our vacation trips and the kids started getting antsy, I handed them a paper sack (fast food with wrappers etc) and told them here, put this in that empty pop bottle. They look at me strange said it wouldn't fit. I said if you make the pieces small enough it will. I think they liked that task. Got them looking for more garbage

Stock up on wet wipes and diaper rash cream. Not trying to be weird, both have helped several family members with the aftermath of that prep stuff...

We took the Suburban and the kids didn't get to watch a movie for the 3 1/2 hour trip there or back, I got to thinking "why did we pay for an overhead DVD player and headphones if they aren't using them?" Then it dawned on me, we didn't bring any DVD's with us

Yeah I remember my mom and dad going through the prepping process when I lived with them, not looking forward to it at all.

Glad you get “Fun” ones too. Winters like that in BC. Fun Snow & mild temps. Not the fallin’ asleep, bone chillin’ “I gotta get somewhere fast bc I’m freezin’ to death” Cold. I can live with that.

    Mornin’ :)

Google has it at 11.5-12 hours so if you toss a few stops in there for gas, bladders and food, we're at 14+ real quick. Once we make it past Minneapolis, there's no way we're stopping until we're home, though.

A few years ago my wife was on a trip with the kids. They went from their hotel in Rapid City about an hour and a half to Devil's Tower, looked around for a bit then drove the 9 hours home. If she can do that alone, we'll be fine. Especially with one of the kids having his license now!

    going to be fun!
Saw this article this morning and busted out laughing and one of the ladies in the office came over to see what was so funny... She said that is 100% true

Gynecologist sheds light on things OB-GYNs don’t actually care about....

“I’m so sorry I didn’t have a chance to shave.”

“Don’t look at my toenails! I’m sorry, I didn’t have time for a pedicure!”

“I didn’t have time to wax.”

    “I have boob sweat.”

    “I’m on my period.”

    “I had unprotected sex.”

A couple of oldies in one our storage sheds that are supposed to become part of a display at some point... on the left a 7x36 Atlas (not sure if it's the same company as the 50s/60s Atlas or not) and on the right a 10x40 Canada Machinery Company behemoth. It weighs in around 4500#
