Picking these sequoia rims up today. Will I need new lug nuts or can I use the ones from my steelies? I’ve heard issues with aftermarket wheels but not OEM ones. Thanks

If you have acorn seat lugs. Yes you will need mag seat lugs for those. Look likes you have factory steelies on your truck which normally use acorn seat.

Deal fell thru anyway. I was loading them up into my truck when I found an undisclosed gash in the tire and the guy gave me my money back ‍♂️ On the hunt again. Sucks cause the tires were like new

I offered the guy $100 for them and I’ll come pick them back up. Worth it? The other 3 are like new but I don’t trust the rims so much anymore after him not disclosing the gash.

Just a heads up that those wheels look painted/plasti-dipped. Black may not be their actual color.

They’re painted I asked the guy. I had plans to refinish them in a gunmetal. Debating whether or not now I give him $100 for them and go buy a new tire/have the inside patched..

$100 for tires and wheels is rarely a bad deal, even if you need to replace 1 tire

Not a bad idea. Just got me thinking about if the rims are good and straight now. Tires are from 2013, if that means anything. No dry rot or nothing

That's way too old for tires. Even if they don't show dry rot they're broken down enough that I'd be uncomfortable driving on them.

6 years is recommended replacement age wise for tires.

That’s what I was thinking. Maybe I’ll just pony up and buy some new tires for my steelies. Thank you for your input

No tire shop will touch those tires after 5 years old.

I'd probably buy them for the wheels but the tires are 8 years old, if not older depending on actual manufacturing date. A shop can test for runout if they're steel and you can easily check for cracks if they're aluminum. Up where I live that's a decent price for wheels but I can't speak for the States.

Steelies are nice looking but they’re so dang heavy, if I can shed 7-8 pounds on the wheels I wouldn’t mind putting that weight into a larger tire. It’s a 4 banger and I know I won’t win any races either way though.
