Crash - need bumper

Well it happened !! Just about paid off and boom. I assume the guy in front of me was texting and slammed on his breaks. I tried to move to the right but my left front hit his back right. Thankfully, the brush guard took most of the impact.

So - now. I sit possible to "simply" remove my front bumper, buy an Aluminum bumper with rings/winch slot and install it? There are so many out there and some say requires Cutting.

The repair shop said they will have to charge me for any modification and I thought remove one item, replace the other.

I did search on this site for bumpers but only one thread (oddly). I want aluminum because I drive a lot and want to watch weight. Thank you.
