Personally, I went with the sport because I like the hood scoop, which seems to be very polarizing here... I don't care about crawl control or a locking differential, so I was happy to trade those for the sleek stylings of the sport hood

Fair enough. The scoop on the sport does induce fear , respect and lust in most enemies.

and the pro , with the top tier fox “suspension” ( I don’t think fox makes spindles or control arms, but i don’t really care about details) …. Forget about it. Baja ready out the door.

I know most of fox’s more serious 2.5 shocks have Non sense like remote reservoirs , a Normal sized 2.5” piston with enough oil to support a vehicle over 1 tone … but again BS nerd tech info. All I need to hear is “fox”. I know it would have been way better if “king” made them for Toyota cuz They are a cooler looking blue .

I love the scoop, makes the truck look much better from the front. I don’t do any hardcore off-roading so stock sport suspension is much better for me on the streets. I drove my buddies off-road and did not like how soft the suspension was. My buddy used the locker once in 2 years, I use my scoop everytime I drive.;)

The scoop is a real panty dropper - at least I assume that's what my wife would say if I asked her.

Silver is the “see through blouse” of colours. All the body lines on display. So hot!

You broke my stride with the RainX wisdom. I'm gonna have to wait until the next time someone asks if a hood scoop that doesn't work is worth the 3750 dollar upgrade from a regular SR5.

Dude, it always ends up being about "cost" with you and your bullshit. Not everyone worries about that. A hood scoop might be worth $0 to you, but it might be worth $5000 to someone else. If you don't want it, don't get it. If someone else wants it, and they can get it no matter the cost, then they should. Fuck it. Don't hate because they can and you feel it's a rip off. It's the same with anything else. If Joe Schmoe asks which $1.5mil painting he should purchase, you'd probably bitch and moan and say that he's "choosing poorly" and should buy a house instead. But the fact is, you would buy a house, not him. Joe already has a really nice house, and he likes expensive color smeared canvas hanging on the walls. Joe also doesn't worry much about what some miserable broke dick on the internet thinks about his purchases either... Take a lesson from Joe, bro.

When someone starts a thread asking which one is better, I'm going to give them the correct answer every time. I don't point out your poor choice except in threads dedicated to your poor choices.

Next time research the product before you buy it and you'll learn the differences instead of just getting distracted by bigger wheels and non functional scoops.

Your argument makes no sense at all to someone who doesn't want a locker , CC , MTS and the OR suspension . Maybe just maybe someone wants the appearance package with the street suspension . I think Toyota knows what they are doing offering the different trims .

And that's perfectly valid. It doesn't however change the fact that the Off Road gets you a lot more truck for the same amount of money. Especially when someone starts a thread saying they want to get into Off Roading. If your truck leaves pavement on any kind of regular basis, the Off Road is the only rational choice.

Anyone who advises someone looking to get into Off Roading to get a Sport is just looking to have someone make the same mistake they did and misery loves company.

If the most it'll ever see is some beach sand and you think the skewp is worth the price, go for it. But it is terrible advice for someone who wants to start getting into riding trails.

Except that you keep repeating yourself to everyone except the OP. We all heard you the first 17 times. Is it some insecurity complex where you feel the need to continuously repeat yourself for fear of not being heard? We’ve heard your opinion. You do know what an opinion is, right? There is no correct or incorrect answer to this question. It comes down to a matter of preference. What’s better for you isn’t always so for someone else, re-fucking-gardless of your close minded illogical opinion. You needed a locker. You needed crawl control. You needed that cute little off-road sticker so that the people who park next to you at the grocery store think you’re adventurous. I didn’t need any of that in this particular vehicle. I have other vehicles that do those things better. I’m so sorry that you don’t. I’m sorry that you made the poor choice of choosing a Tacoma when there are other vehicles that do the things that you need it to do much better. Trust me, I did my research without distraction, & the sport was the perfect extra vehicle that i needed. Scoop & all. My only poor choice was trying to talk sense into the senseless. Good luck, dude.

And yet you still waddle up to the trough for more.

It is indisputable that someone who is looking to buy a Tacoma for offroading is better served with the Off Road trim vs the Sport. I'm glad you have multiple vehicles, I'm sure it comes in handy when your Jeep breaks down.
